About the project

The Challenge

TGen, the Translational Genomics Research Institute, is an Arizona-based, nonprofit medical research institute dedicated to conducting groundbreaking research with life-changing results. It works to unravel the genetic components of common and complex diseases, including cancer, neurological disorders, infectious disease, and rare childhood disorders. The TGen Building in downtown Phoenix is at the forefront of groundbreaking medical research worldwide — and as such, requires a property management strategy that ensures an ideal working environment.

The Strategy

The Plaza Companies Property Management team oversees all property management functions of the building, which requires our team to not only oversee office space but also some extraordinarily complicated and complex laboratory and research environments. These laboratories require flawless property management execution to ensure that no climate, power or sanitation issues arise that could compromise this extraordinarily important research.

The Impressive Results

Plaza has overseen the TGen Building since 2017, and during that course of time the organization has continued to make important strides in medical research across a variety of fields. In property management, sometimes no news is good news — and under Plaza’s management, the facility has been run in a way that ensures the reliability of the research environment with no major issues or interruptions in the building’s operations.
